Campaign at Children's World Montessori

Yesterday (24/8/2009),my friend and I had our campaign at Children's World Montessori preschool.I woke up at 7 in the morning and reached there around 8 o'clock.I was nervous that day because I've never do the activities in preschool with the young children like this.When we were ready to begin our campaign,we waited outside the preschool for every of the children's parents to support our campaign.We talked briefly about our purpose of this campaign to them and asked them to pen down their signature to show their support for this campaign.While the parents signing the signature drive,we also asked for their agreement to let us take their picture as a prove that we do and work hard in this campaign.Besides that,we also give them our life and hope ribbon and our blog address card.But unfortunately,we had already miss out some of the parents to sign up for the campaign because they had to rush to work.
            After the signatures had done,the childrens there had a small picnic at just outside their classroom.All of them were really excited and can't wait longer for the picnic to begin.We had been asked to join them together with the picnic.
            Our next activities had started just after the picnic is over.The childrens sat down around the circle on the floor and listen to my friend's talk quietly.They were curious to see us present that day.After that,we are divided into two group.I handle the older childrens which are between 4-6years old by showing them the pictures about orangutans while my friend handled the others childrens which are between 2-3 years old.She showed the puzzle to the childrens which contains the picture of orangutans.I explained briefly to the childrens about the facts of orangutans and what can we do to save the orangutans from being extinct.After we had completed our work,we exchange our place with the opposite group to continue our work.It's my turn to show the pictures to the 4-6 years old childrens.
           After we had completed doing all that,the childrens had been asked to pair up with their friend for the next coloring activity.We gave them the pictures which prepares by us before this and they all started to coloring it.They were really enjoy their coloring.Some of them can't stop to draw the background by different colour of crayon and colour pencil even they already finished their coloring.All of them were having a lots of fun with the very nice colorful orangutans.
          The palm printing begin after it.I helped the childrens to paint up their right hand and cop it on the white cloth one by one.It was really fun and great.The teachers there also very enjoy this activity.
          At last,the activities had finished.We distribute the gift packs to each of the childrens before they went home.They gave us a big hug and say thank you to us.They said that they are very happy that day and they had a lots of fun.
         I'm very very happy that I had a very wonderful day in my life.I hope that I'll have another chance like this in the future.
